Health & Safety Working From Home Checklist (Download)
With over 24 million Brits working from home as a result of the global crisis, the spotlight now turns to working conditions.
Whilst many have enjoyed the change in scenery, others have fallen subject to both mental and physical health issues.
According to Finder, 30.9% of remote workers admitted to struggling with loneliness when working remotely and 22% of telecommuters find it difficult to relax after work.
Experts have predicted these figures will only rise. In terms of physical health, most home offices do not meet the basic health and safety regulations set by government officials.
For example, your desk should be set up in such a way that your computer screen aligns with your eyesight, and your room should be well-ventilated with an average temperature of 22 degrees.
Managers across the country face the huge challenge of ensuring these requirements are met. Failure to adhere to the correct health and safety procedures can result in a fall in employee satisfaction and overall productivity.
