ICE Cleaning Attends European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards

On Thursday 28th April, ICE Cleaning attended the 2022 European Cleaning and Hygiene Awards hosted by the European Cleaning Journal in Brussels, Belgium.

Last week marked the highly anticipated return of the only pan-European awards to recognise the professional cleaning sector, which had been put on hold since 2019 as a result of the global pandemic. Over 160 companies entered the awards, with just 39 making the final across all categories.

In the magazine's most recent article, Michelle Marshall, Editor of the European Cleaning Journal, commented, "After over two years away, it was absolutely fantastic to bring the industry back together once again to celebrate all the brilliant achievements of the past few years.

"The event was the most successful to date, and it was a pleasure to unveil our 2022 winners to such a well-respected crowd. The standard of entries this year really did blow us away and every finalist should feel incredibly proud of their contributions to the cleaning and hygiene sector."

ICE Cleaning submitted its initial entry for the European Cleaning and Hygiene Awards' Start-up of the Year category back in November 2021, with assistance from HROC. The list of finalists was then released in January 2022, showcasing ICE Cleaning as the only British business to make the final three. 

Among the team who attended were James Reynolds, Co-Founder of ICE Cleaning, and Adam Rhodes, the Company's Chairman. The pair were joined by Thomas Colgan, Head of Marketing, and Sophie Rioch, Head of Brand and Customer Experience, who both played an instrumental role in helping ICE Cleaning reach the final stage of the awards, as well as other members of the marketing and operations teams. 

Adam Rhodes, speaking to the trade press at the event, expressed his pride at ICE Cleaning being the only UK company to make the final of the European Cleaning and Hygiene Awards for best new business. He stated, ”It’s a great compliment to a business only founded in 2017 to be in such esteemed company at such a prestigious industry event like this”.

“With the clients we now serve at ICE Cleaning, such as Deliveroo, Nando’s and West Ham United Football Club, the Company has made massive strides since its humble beginnings back in a tiny office in Orpington with only two or three members of staff!

"We look forward to sustaining this growth and hopefully attracting more blue-chip clients, big and small, to our expanding range of cleaning services in the coming months & years.”
