Mould Remediation
Our technicians are available nationwide, day and night, 365 days a year, including bank holidays to help with your mould problem.
Mould can damage your property and possessions if not dealt with promptly.
The fungus grows on and feeds of organic material like wood, paper, fabric and some kinds of building materials. Not only can it cause your possessions to deteriorate over time, if it grows on building materials, it can cause structural damage.
As soon as you spot the first signs of mould in your home, you must have it removed by professionals. They can remove all the mould from the hard surfaces and the air, and advise on how to prevent it returning in the future.
To book our technicians for mould removal, contact our team by calling 0208 066 0360 or emailing enquiries@icecleaning.co.uk. We also offer price matching, so be sure to mention this when you get in touch to have this reflected in the price of your service.

What types of damp are there?
Dampness in homes can occur due to various reasons. The most common form of damp is condensation, which happens when excess moisture encounters cold surfaces. During winter, you may often notice condensation on windows, which can lead to the growth of mould.
Rising damp is another type of damp that usually affects ground floors. It happens when moisture rises from the ground beneath the structure, causing surfaces to rot and peel.
Penetrating damp arises due to existing structural issues like porous bricks, poorly fitted cavity walls, or air gaps. Resolving this type of dampness requires fixing plumbing or structural problems in your home, which can become costly.
Finally, interstitial condensation happens within enclosed spaces like cavity walls, roofs or floor structures. It occurs when warm and humid air seeks out cold areas within the structure, forming condensation that is not visible to the naked eye.
How does condensation lead to mould?
High humidity conditions provide an ideal environment for mould to grow, and condensation can create excess moisture leading to damp areas like walls, which in turn promote mould growth.
If left unchecked, mould can become a serious issue, and the black mould Stachybotrys chartarum is particularly dangerous due to its link to respiratory problems. It is essential to understand the role of poor ventilation and condensation in creating humid air that contributes to harmful mould exposure.
